Various animals and how to illustrate them #Ualabi

in OnChainArt4 years ago

Hello everyone! I am new to the community and I have decided to begin my participation in it with a series of pencil drawings about various animals that inhabit our planet, with the intention not only of practicing the technique of representing models through drawing but also of making known this selection of curious animals with unique qualities. what has driven me to work illustrating these animals is the idea of reminding all those who see my publications that we are not the only race that inhabits this planet and that we share our home with other wonderful beings who have no other intention than to live their lives in terms of their natural cycle without harming us.

The animal with which I have decided to start this series of drawings is the Ualabí, it is a kind of marsupial from the family macropodidae, the particular thing about this species is that it is not big enough to be considered a kangaroo.

They are typical of Australia and the island of New Guinea, their dimensions can reach 1.2m high and a weight that ranges from 1kg to 42 kg.

They have four legs, the hind legs being bigger and more robust with four toes, with which they jump to move. Their front legs are notably smaller and with 5 toes that end in nails.

It has a long tail proportional to the size of its body with which they achieve greater balance when walking. The upper half of his body is poorly developed in relation to the bottom.

They live mostly in savannahs, mountainous areas, jungles or rocky places. They are mainly herbivores although there are some species that can become omnivores. Their diet is usually rich in fiber and not so much in protein.

This has been my first delivery friends I hope you have liked. see you in the next.

Thanks for your attention!

Interesting idea.
My suggestion would be play with different approaches/styles... shapes, silhouettes, play with dynamic posing... and don't aim to realism too much... We have photos for that :)
Though, this is my brain giving ideas... You have your own and you should follow it :)

Keep up with it. I suppose the most interesting part comes after a while when you have a series of animals done and looking at you.
