Today is #Fungifriday and normally I would post some mushroom I found during the colder months. And then I thought about all those poor shrooms that can't handle the sun and will not grow and one thing lead to another (as always) and this is what I came up with.
There are those Ink Caps mushrooms that literally melt into a black goo. Some small ones of that type grow so fast that they last only 24 h and die as soon as it gets warmer and sunnier during the day. To catch those you would have to go look in the morning. By the evening there might be nothing left.
Once I saw them in the park near me - beautiful, delicate hats that wilt in no time. Those don't really drip like some bigger cousins, but they will die and turn to a pile of black and grey mush. Poor thing.
I made a quick GIF with the steps, since there was so many of them. I started with a rough pencil sketch just to get the idea out there. Then with the ink brush (my favorite) started to draw the final shapes and colour them. Layers after layers I added the little text, frame and some little trees in the back, cause it looked a bit empty.
Here are some photos of the mushrooms I was talking about that I used as a reference (all photos are taken by me).

And the bigger one that starts so pretty and then turns to this:
