On my last post, I've talked about my idea of sharing my OC's couples. Last time it was Jeanette and Phonos. Today, I decided to share with you another character of mine. All those drawings and doodles are super old, but I enjoyed going through them. God, wasn't that some productive time back then? Anyways, meet Mydia and Leon!
The blue haired girl was my character, Mydia Alice Eaven. A little bit of a crazy personality, she was childish, cheerful and hyper. The boy was my friends' character, Leonard (Leon for short), who was a bit of an emo. Silent, mysterious and a bit gloomy. They were housemates at first, with two other characters of two other friends. At some point, Mydia made it a mission to herself to cheer Leon up, which lead to crushes and eventually, becoming an unseperatable duo.
The universe was like X-Men and Sky High, real world with an appearance of superpowered children, and a school for those children, where both Leon and Mydia attended. We have raffled for the powers and Mydia got gravity control, and got obsessed with flying like the birds but was struggling with controlling her powers. Leon, on the other hand, has super-regeneration.
Of course, if you're into writing by any chance, you'll know it's mandatory to torture your characters. So that's what happened. A war broke, then some sort of a zombie-apocalypse happened and life turned upside down for them.
I was obsessed with those two back then. They were a great source of inspiration. I'd draw them day and night, day and night... Must have been my most productive years. I think we started writing them around 2009 and went on for years. Eventually life happened and we fell back on writing, but I still miss them. Mydia's still one of my favourite characters and even though my friend isn't writing anymore, I still do write Mydia alone from time to time. She lost Leon after the war, but still believes he's out there somewhere because of his super-regeneration powers. Things got really dark, I know.
So... Here's Leonydia. I miss those idiots, and those times where I could draw/paint without a pause. Eh, that'll happen again sometime, right? Anyways, I hope you liked those two.
