Yes, the gas fees on ETH are astronomical - I just wrote a blog post that touches on this here, and it's one of the main reasons I chose NFT Showroom (low carbon footprint being the main one).
I truly hope we're the early birds here at NFT Showroom and that it'll take off in a big way over the coming months. It certainly has all the potential, being so integrated with Web 3.0.
