Today I painted this goat 🐐.. well, the subject wasn't a goat initially.. my friend sent me this picture to paint reflection.
I felt the reflection was ok but the picture needed better subject. So I introduced a goat in it.
Sketch
Sketch mainly position the goat and banks of the stream. I planned to add some light and shadow into it.
Stages
Started with the background as usual, far away greenery in lighter value. Sky pale so it doesn't take focus from the subject.
Then the near greens with lot of yellows this time to show light unlike my last few paintings which lacked the variation in green.
Also made the reflection in water
Added far trees and the near bank and finally the goat
Detail
Started painting goat with blue and purple which are it's highlights colour and then the darker tones. Finally added shadows.
Shape of the goat went a bit off.. should have been little more careful with it
