Painting after a long break.. it may be just 10 days but feels like I didn't touch my brush for a month.
Still not settled yet after relocating, and haven't found a proper place to sit and paint.
Today was an off day so I thought I need to paint something.
I found my A3 sheets of Arto paper which I had bought about 3 years back and felt it was perfect for the day. 2 years back A3 was too big for me, now I feels its more normal ☺️
Had this sheet stretched and ready last week but didn't get time to even sketch. So that saved some time.
This painting is based on a pic I found on Pinterest:

Sketch
Very rough sketch could have been better if I referred to the original pic more keenly. The size of the building became a little smaller and narrowed. Found that out only after painting 😁
Started painting with the sky with cobalt blue and manganese blue.
And then the mountain with mix of burnt sienna, purple ultramarine .. it could have been blended better . Looks patchy at some places.
Started working on the white building on the left and later the one on right. After reaching this far I could find out that I was getting better grip on it now.
The foliage and the stones to finish it off.
Final
A3 size Arto cold press 300 gsm cotton paper
Total time: 1hr
I hope to find a better permanent place before painting my next one 😁👍
