The Art Journal is a visual diary or a creative journal in which we can experiment with different techniques to express feelings, emotions and creativity. We can use any kind of material, such as paper, paints and so on. I wanted to use mostly paper, so I make use of all the old magazines and newspapers I have at home.
El Art Journal es un diario visual o un diario creativo en el podemos experimentar con diferentes técnicas para expresar sentimientos, emociones y creatividad. Podemos usar cualquier tipo de material, como papel, pinturas y demás. Yo quise usar mas que todo papel, así le doy uso a todas las revistas y periódicos viejos que tengo en casa.

I had this drawing of The Weeknd saved a long time ago and I wanted to make an art journal about this artist, so I could take advantage of the drawing and give it another use and not leave it saved forever.
Tenía este dibujo de The Weeknd guardado hace mucho y quise hacer un art journal sobre este artista, para así aprovechar el dibujo y darle otro uso y no dejarlo guardado para siempre.
I wanted to do it with colors referring to his suit, the iconic red and black suit of this new era that The Weeknd wanted to work with. Using cutouts in those shades of colors, I randomly pasted them all over the notebook.
Quise hacerlo con colores referentes a su traje, el icónico traje rojo y negro de esta nueva era que quiso trabajar The Weeknd. Usando recortes en esos tonos de colores, fui pegándolos aleatoriamente por todo el cuaderno.
After that, I cut out the drawing and glued it, and then continued with the letters, which form the name and the phrase I used for this work.
Luego de eso, recorte el dibujo y lo pegué, para luego seguir con las letras, las cuales forman el nombre y la frase que use para este trabajo.
The phrase I used in this art journal was taken from one of her songs, which I really like "save your tears for another day" and is one of my favorites.
La frase que use en este art journal la saqué de una de sus canciones, la cual me gusta mucho "save your tears for another day" y es una de mis favoritas.
To finish off the art journal, take the red paint and pour it in the form of drops of blood or spilled blood, to give it a darker touch.
Para ya culminar con el art journal, tome la pintura roja y la derrame en forma de gotas de sangre o sangre derramada, para darle un toque un poco más oscuro.
