I saw some drawings on the web where they use chalk and some had some incredible results, so I wanted to give it a try. Not at all a medium that I am used too and it seemed to be going straight into the terrible zone. It is so powdery, there is no fluidity to it and I have to draw the opposite way too (lights instead of shadows)🤨. But since im exploring I just went on with it and try different ways to smooth things out....or something.
The progress pictures will speak by themselves. I started to make some lines to guide me a little bit. That part went well
...then I started to fill up to begin to create a portrait. That is when it started to go sour.
So I started to try to smooth things out...it still looked like the detiny of it was the garbage.
And by not giving up and playing around, I think I was able to save it (as you can see in the first pics and the follwing one). Since I have learn a few tricks while doing this (a dry brush is your friend), I will give it a few more tries here and there.
I hope you guys like it, thanks for the view
great work 👍
Thanks, I appreciate!
Nice for a first try 👍
Thanks, hopefully the future ones with the same technique will show improvements 😄
