Since I was a child, I've always liked to draw. My mother painted very beautiful pictures of landscapes, lagoons, waterfalls, faces and skies.
I looked at her paintings with admiration, wishing one day I could do it. But the canvases and watercolors, they do not take it well with me. I have never managed to go beyond a few (crooked) lines.
However, I have been watching different tutorials on the Internet and decided to give it a try.
I'll show you my step-by-step.
Faber Castel 4B pencil
Faber Castel 6B pencil
Draft
Swabs
Paper napkin
A brush
First you make a semi-circle, then the shape of the eyelashes and the eyelid. You fill in the circle with the pencil and then you blur it a little with a swab.
After you fill the pupil, you leave a blank space above it that will later appear to be the eye's glare and you will shape the cornea with its respective lines, shading, blurring with the swab and with the eraser, you will put white dots on it to make it look shiny.
Finally, all you have to do is tilt your pencil as shown in the first picture. And you will be placing the lower lashes and always shading, shading and shading.
And this is the end result
You won't believe this, but in person, the drawing looks much better than taking pictures to upload it here. Plus I think I'm missing too many drawing tools.
But as I' m just starting, it's the best I could do and I feel proud of my drawing and that's why I wanted to share it with you.
