Today I want to share my best creation ever by far. It all started when I visited my friend a few months ago. I hadn't seen him in almost a year so we decided to take a coffee and chat a little. He has also started to create art but more abstract art.
When I came to his place I almost immediately noticed two framed photographs hanging on the wall. It was of two men or women from a tribe called Turkana Kenya (thanks @doodle.danga for the research) symbolizing yin and yang. It was very hard to determine which one of them was female and which was male. Both very rich in detail, and you could stare at them for hours. @ryivhnn actually found them in the internet so my reference is posted further down
This is my interpretation of one of them.
I have spent about 60 hours on this drawing. It's not a direct copy, I have changed some parts and added others. During some of the process I drew only from my head and tried to make it more artistic than realistic. The details in the original photo would require me to sit at least 200 hours to make it hyper realistic but that wasn't my goal. It was a challenge big enough anyway :)
Below you can see some details. I will post a full tutorial in the future but I want to follow the rules of re-posting so it will be in a few months.

Was your friend's photo anything like this one?
If so there's a few online so you could probably post them if you wanted and just say where they came from and the photographer if that happened to be on your friends' photos :)
Can see why you wouldn't want to make a direct copy, you'd be there forever XD
Ahh I actually didnt know they were on the internet. Then I didn't have to go though the work to try to photograph them without reflection. I will update The post with The reference soon Then :) thank tou for finding it

I only found this one because I reverse image searched your drawing and it happened to come up with a match :)
Then I know I have done something right if you can reverse image search my drawing and find the reference photo XD

Ah okay, yeah noticed the fresh start and got a bit alarmed that it might be someone pretending to be you, so would appreciate a link to where you've verified in the past just to make 100% sure. I think On Chain Art could also tag you as a verified artist then. ^^

Thank you! It could be better but I need to take a break from it for a few months. I actually never know when my art is completely finished. Sometimes I have come back to a year old drawing that I thought I were finished with

I think this looks a little more like african, maybe that's why you are having trouble finding it. I noticed because the hair is very curly and the collars the man is wearing look more like african art, also his nose is wide like african.
I found the image online and then did a reverse search of the image and found 230 different results you can see in tineye.com here
And yes, they all describe the picture as "african man". I don't seem to find the ying yang image you are talking about, though.

They do not look african to me. And my friend bought them from a shop where they described them as mayan. The shop had a direct contact with the photographer so I think they know. Your link gave 0 results btw.

Well.. he's not mayan, he's african. Another clue was his skin tone.
He's from a tribe called Turkana, from Kenya. This is not what mayan art looks like, and looked more like african, as I said.
