RE: Beginning to work as an artist (my way) -- Part 1

in OnChainArt4 years ago (edited)

Great post and very informative. I'm also trying to live the lifestyle as an artist. I mostly get my commissions when I meet People but I haven't posted much on social media except here on hive. I tried etsy.com but I want to create more uniqe drawings before I give it a real shot

Btw how is Spain now days? I'm thinking of going to Andalucia over the winter

Yeah Etsy is maybe the most involved path to take, as you have to take care of the whole process yourself. If I thought I will sell a lot of prints I would go for it, but I feel like my art isn't the best for a wall frame most of the time.

Still, I recommend starting to build up your on line presence, it snowballs no matter how fast/slow, unless you abandon it it always grows.

Spain uhm... not sure what it's like in the south, I'm full north. I think we're in the COVID panic like everywhere else. I'm doing normal life but then I am an antisocial so it's not so different for me. xD
Beaches etc, AFAIK you can go for now. Live shows and partying not so much at the moment.
I truly hope in a few months it's better, but being realistic it's likely it will get worse in winter, then hopefully better when the cold recedes.

I'm playing a live show in two weeks, audience will be seated and with masks, and I'm happy about just the show happening... if that gives an indication of how things are. :p
