I remember a forum discussion on a similar or the same topic several years ago. Basically someone was saying the people who are rabidly supportive about stripping freedoms are coming from a place of good intentions, they have suffered an incredibly painful loss (death of a loved one etc), and they don't want anyone to ever have to suffer the unnecessary pain that they went through, therefore people must be forced to follow a rule that would prevent said pain for their own good, and quite often because of the extremely hyperfocused viewpoint they're coming from they literally can't understand why everyone doesn't just agree with them.
From memory that particular discussion went as expected.
Did you have a reference for the rope knot? I am fully prepared to believe that you just painted it and it just worked XD
Often said rules to prevent the suffering of others cause more suffering than what it is intended to prevent. This one size fits all mentality is totalitarianism dressed up in a new mask.
Yes, I worked from a reference photo. Those are my own hands. The loose rope that was hanging down from the knot was edited out. After painting rope and knots a few times now, I know a few simplifications to keep myself sane... and not tied up in knots. 😄
All tied up in knots - been there, painted 1993, that was very personal that time.
Not only ropes, but chains as well. There's a few things to read into this one Otto.
a episode in my life, spouse #2 which I later referred to as "Crazy B". A bad 3 years.
Having some fun before and/or after painting? ;D
LoL!
