I would rather say some kind of simulation.
We live in some kind of simulation, not in fantasy.
That could work too I guess, but fantasy just kinda fit better for me being she a mermaid, but the idea is the same

thanks!, initially it was the girls side, she wanted so bad to go see "her" mermaid, as she's seen her advertised, but once there, realizing she's not as happy or colorful as she was depicted. But then I thought it could be the mermaid wishing she was just a girl in the "outside" world, and her mermaid side was just an illusion, just a toy... what do you think?
