Happy Friday to you all! Today is the mid-August day and me and my hubby @paolobeneforti will spend the afternoon in a fresk village on the mountain close to my city with some friends. We will enjoy fresh air, good company, a great dinner and good wine too. What's better?
Waiting tomorrow to breath the fresh air between trees, today was another toasty day in my area, but my fan helped me to work on some new paintings.
Have you ever seen the painting of René Magritte called "The man in bowler hat"? It's a famous artwork and I love it so much, but maybe you don't know Magritte painted some other men in bowler hats (you can read more about it here) .
I really love the style of Magritte and I'm so intrigued by the bowler hats also because, in my immagination, they reminds me the English men (even if when I visited London I didn't see anyone wearing this kind of hat ^_^ ). Because of this, today I decided to paint one of my character in a bowler hat and this is the final result:
It's an oil painting on 200 gsm paper in A4 size and I also used one of my handmade ribber stamp (handmade by myself some years ago) to make the black clouds on the background. The main color of this artwork is the black, as you can see:
Soon I'll add it to my online shops (you can find the link at the bottom of this contet) and I hope he'll find a new nice home soon ^_^
I hope you like it!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia

I really like that particular style. It fits the overall theme of the hat and suit well.
Thanks so much ^_^

Have a wonderful night, happy start to the week
You make a beautiful work. I like it so much
Thanks!!! ^_^
You are welcome
This style looks never-endingly beautiful!! I remembered that original painting, but not from an artistic standpoint, but from watching a movie, The Thomas Crown Affair. Seeing Pierce Brosnan trying to steal the painting was the only way I would've learned about this XD. Enjoy that glass of wine, you deserve it!
