Character creation for Run.exe - Creating Lola

IMG_20200603_213505.jpgSo.. I got a commission from a very close friend to work on creating five characters from a story he is currently writing. Each characters have their own descriptions and I'd have to draw them based on the descriptions. My job is to make out sketches of the characters while @marvel1206 does the digital painting of each character.

It's a huge task though. Drawing what you see is a lot easier than imagining a character and drawing it out. So.. Right now.. My brain is pretty fired up.

I began yesterday with the main character, who is female by the way and also a hacker who is on the run from people who want her head so, I have to make her a subtle bad ass kind of lady. I initially started with drawing bosy proportions of a female and trying to see what I can do from there but it did not leave much room for imagination and actually gave me migraine for the whole night and this morning. Lol.

So, today, I decided to work on only the face and chest.. Something like a portrait drawing... It was dicey at first.. I did not want her looking too real or looking two cartoonist... So I made two characters today

I painted the first character very briefly on autodesk to see what it'd look like when completed. - This was a very rough painting and only a digital artist would know how it'd look if serious work is been put into it.

I never thought character creation would be so so stressful and brain power demanding.

Which character do you like best and why?
