First Attempt
Infinite reserves of energy
A brightly glowing flame of hope
Reality favours the brave, isn't it?
Second Attempt
Careful steps
Cool reserve
Doubt
How about it? Maybe it will work out after all?
The Third Attempt
Sun-burned canyons
Infinite deserts
Silence and emptiness
Last opportunity?
Lost Opportunity?
An Opportunity.
Thoughts are flowing faster and faster widening the trough of Imagination
The foundations built on Reason and Logic are slowly being washed away by Curiosity
Suspicion creeps in through the unlocked windows of Common Sense and through the door of Pragmatism, which is opened just for a short while...
How many times have you tried?
Are you one of those people whose will cannot be crushed by any obstacles?
Or does the tiniest impediment grow to monstrous proportions and your immense enthusiasm turns to dust in a blink of an eye?
To how many times is the trick?
Is it madness to try again every day? Or is it necessary to start again every day in order not to go crazy? To feel that we are doing something new, something that matters?
Our lives are made of activities repeated like a mantra. Every-single-day.
Brushing our teeth
Driving
Coffee breaks
Meals
Sleeping
How often are you tempted to simply flunk these responsibilities and turn your neatly arranged and smoothly ironed life upside down? Do you allow yourself the nonchalance of change?
Change takes time
And time is always scarce. Only children seem to complain about time surplus. To fundamentally change something in your life, even the smallest thing - you need not only a lot of energy and determination, but above all - the time. Giving yourself time is a very complex activity.
Above all, we need to forgive ourselves.
To forgive ourselves that we are not good at something.
That we don't know how to do something at the snap of our fingers.
That we give up.
That we pretend that there is not a gigantic chasm between what 'I want' and what 'I can'.
So let us forgive ourselves and start to change.
About the drawing
The roll is slowly filling up. Today, Chapter II is before you.
Lately I've been allowing myself not to name my drawings. I don't seem to have the courage to decide what a picture is supposed to be. And then there's having the courage to say out loud what I want a drawing to be. I admit that I'm not ready for that just yet. There is still a lot of paper left on the roll so I still have time.
If you take a look at my past work - you will see that one of my favourite subjects of interest is - perspective. You will see this in the way I take pictures of my drawings,
as well as the types of perspectives I choose when I draw. Perspective shortcuts have always been a big problem for me. And they still do.
Nevertheless - I try.
I wish you lovely rest of your Sunday, and have a great week:)
Yours,
Strega Azure

How did I miss this one??? Powerful, especially the perspective! A few things come to mind... downtrodden is one but I prefer the creation of balance between confidence and uncertainty. And you shall rise again... Gorgeous work as always !LADY !LUV

Not sleeping, aren't we?
I am avid admirer of Beksinsky's work, and worm - perspective was his interest for quite a while. I really wanted to try.
It takes a lot of restrain to get this type of perspective right, not gonna lie :D all angles are so strange, and distances so difficult to measure. But hey! It was really good exercise, definitely will try that one again!
Downtrodden sounds about right, but I leave it up to you what you want to see there. This way you are part of it!
Thank you for popping by Sam 🖤
Nope, too much on my mind... 🤯

Very glad to see you here! Been offline for quite a bit. I've returned to 9-5 job while keeping my little business still going, so I don't have much time left ;/ But! having said that - I am working on keeping at least some 'healthy balance'. I missed #hive very much, so I made time! Not much still, but doing my best:)))
