Hello everyone, Hope you are all doing fine. Today I want to share some of my craftings and gift card. The crafts are colorful painting on white Cement doll which I bought from local shop and white small cute cup for making a bird and flower on it. I am sharing the process below. Anyway The Red beaded bag you see on the first picture was made by my loving Mom and the shewing wall hanging behind the doll also made by me some years back.
For the Doll Sculpture:
Surface Preparation: Make sure the surface is clean and dry. If the doll has a shiny or slick surface, lightly sand it to help the paint adhere better.
Primer: Apply a primer if the doll has a non-porous surface. This helps the paint to stick and can improve the vibrancy of colors.
Paint: Use acrylic paints for most doll sculptures as they’re versatile and adhere well. You might also consider using fabric paints if the doll has fabric elements.
Details: For intricate details, use fine-tipped brushes. You can also use a small paintbrush for touch-ups.
Sealant: Once the paint is dry, use a clear acrylic sealant to protect your work. This can be a matte or glossy finish depending on your preference.
For the Small Cup:
Cleaning: Ensure the cup is clean and free of any grease or residue. Wash it thoroughly and let it dry completely.
Primer: Apply a primer suitable for ceramics or glass, depending on the cup material. This step helps the paint adhere better and can prevent chipping.
Painting: Acrylic paints work well for ceramics and glass. For a more durable finish, use enamel paints or paint specifically designed for ceramics.
Design: For precision, use painter’s tape to create clean lines or stencils for intricate patterns.
Baking: If you're using enamel paints, you may need to bake the cup according to the paint manufacturer's instructions to set the paint and make it dishwasher-safe.
Sealant: For added protection, especially if the cup will be used, you might want to apply a food-safe sealant or clear coat.
Last Two are my watercolor painting on paper for making gift card.
I used to paint a lovely sparkly jelly fish on it and used golden acrylics, gel pen and glittery paper sticker on it.
