The most fun is had when one can make a mess on the canvas and watch the paint flow. I see you do it flat, and so do I (most of the time). Peter does decalcomania, so do I. Also great fun in the starting phase. I think what we have in common is 'horror vacui' - a blank surface will not stay blank for long.
