My Mandalorian and Speederbike diorama - 3D Print and Paint

in OnChainArt3 years ago (edited)

Hello everybody, in this post I want to show you the steps I did to create this Mandalorian, Grogu and Speederbike diorama.

Here is the final piece's photo;

Here are the figures straight from the 3D printer, this awesome 3D model is sold on Gambody website;

I glued some real dirt on top of the plastic both for hiding the joint line and to add more realistic texture, and left it to dry;

Next three photos are the basic colours and shadows on the base, then adding some more shades and realistic greenish tones on top and finally adding dust and sand by using dry pigments;

Here is the Speederbike painted with heavy weathering to present the trips on sandy environment, on the desert themed base;

Chose very light and unsaturated colours for Grogu and you can see how it looks on the figure;

Here I paint the figure in metallic colours with airbrush because I want the metallic parts as smooth as possible;

Painted the cape with heavy weathering also, resembling all the dust collected on it;

And this is the figure before the final touches;

And it is finished. Here are the final photos that I took, you can see the greenish hues on the base better in these pictures because I took them with my camera. It captured all the hues;

Sending away the commissions I did has always been very difficult. I wanted to take a final photo before it goes away. You can also see the scale of the piece in this one.

I hope you liked my work!
