I haven't posted since the war started, but I have to get back to life; Who knows how much we have left.
I am hanging some work in a group show at the beautiful MorYork Gallery in the Highland Park neighborhood in Los Angeles. Please visit if you are in the neighborhood you will not regret it.
Thanks to them and the magnificent artist Olesya Volk (artist name) for making this happen.
I took a few photos of my work before I left for the gallery. I think the varnish I used might be too shiny. I created the image above "War Monster" in response to the war in Syria years ago ? and I finished it influenced by current events.
Above "Inexplicably by Moonlight" about the quiet strangeness of nature.
Above "Mangled Door" Of being overwhelmed by unwanted thoughts and emotions.
"War Monster" again.
I might need to bring some more work since I have this whole wall to fill up.
The MorYork Gallery is absolutely fascinating if you have a chance to visit. It is a wonderland of art.
The York Avenue neighborhood in Highland Park is also a lot of fun. I had some cookies and milk at the Highland Cafe with other club members before I headed to the train.
The walk to the train was lovely.
The train ride itself was horrid, the second half anyway. Waited over an hour at Union Station then gave up and got a beer. If there's a god I swear he doesn't want me to leave the house.
