Colorful portraits!
Today I wanted to show you how fun and creative you can spend time with kids and create something really interesting and artistic
There are days when kids have to stay home ... for various reasons, illness, colds or even a pandemic. And today, in these difficult times, I come to help. This idea has been on my mind for a long time. I like creating artistic things, I decided to involve my children in the project.
Everything happened in January, before Grandma and Grandpa's Day. We wondered for a long time what gift would be appropriate for them. We wanted them to feel that the gift was from loving grandchildren who put a whole little heart into making the item.
The children received a canvas prepared by me. They were painted white with paint and taped stripes. You're probably wondering what these stripes are for? The stripes are there so that the whole thing is consistent. The images are linked together. Exactly the same as siblings! Always together, supporting each other. One is complementary to the other.
All they had to do was show their joyful creativity on paper. Dirty with paint, they stamped the canvas with their tiny fingers. They liked the idea very much and a moment later everything was ready.
The next very important step was to prepare templates for their pretty faces. They had to pose for a photo against a light background. It took a while to prepare the hairstyles and great mood. Unfortunately, I was unable to take pictures of these cool moments. At the time, I did not think that this would be the topic of the article.
The idea was so good that we decided to create our home, family version as well.
The next step was to imprint the patterns on the canvases painted by the kids with a sponge. The boys were also painting. Fortunately, we didn't give up and the whole thing went in a very interesting direction.
In the end, I had to adjust the frames. Unfortunately, the square frame is of a good size, it is hard to buy, you have to cut the passe-partout. Tools like a scalpel and a hot glue gun come in handy for this type of work. When we adjust everything to each other, we stick the picture to the back board from the frame, the prepared passe-partout and Voila! Finished! The picture prepared in this way can already be hung on the wall.
The gift for Grandparents was a hit! They were delighted. Of course, the portraits of their grandchildren appeared in their home galleries and the children were proud of their great work!!
THE END
Thank you for reading up to this point. I hope that I inspired you a little and that you will also try to create works with your children! I highly recommend.
