It was common for people in the early days of the Internet to design their web page as a .gif because HTML 1.0 lacked the design features they want.
The practice failed because search engines keyed in on the text. So purely graphic web sites failed to get the attention the designer desired.
I think the best design for HIVE involves a combination of graphics and text.
HIVE is a social media platform built on a blockchain. The text of each post is encrypted and recorded on the blockchain. The images are actually stored on an image server associated with HIVE.
HiveBlocks.com is a blockchain explorer. It shows all of the transactions on HIVE. This page shows all transactions related to your account:

This is what was recorded for your first post . The post is just a link to the image on an the peakd.com image server.
Most artists are using a combination of text and graphics.
BTW: HIVE has had huge problems with scammers who post the art created by other people hoping to get rewards. A scammer could make several hundred dollars by posting work from an artists. Claiming ownership. They then skidaddle with the funds when discovered.
Unfortunately, this means that HiveWatchers scrutinize artists accounts. So, when you post art work it is best to have some text positively asserting ownership.
Many artists show images from the creation process of the piece.
An artist named @politeumico , who had been posting for years on Deviant Art, simply posted a single image on his account.
HiveWatchers thought the account might be a scammer and started downvoting his work. Downvoting strips the rewards from the account. The solution is to write a little text with each piece. You might examine his postings as they have good art. The text positively asserts ownership. This makes people feel more comfortable when they decide which posts to upvote.
PPS: Different tribes on HIVE have different interfaces. The Creative Coin interface supplements the HIVE rewards with CCC.
There are some new interfaces in the works targeting the NFT market. It is good to experiment with the different interfaces.
PPPS: Never share your HIVE keys. Before trying different interfaces, you will want to install Hive Keychain. This is a browser extension that will grant access to different sites without sharing the key. You might want to install it on your browser before testing different sites. Hive Keychain will ask for your keys.
Good luck.
you're right @yintercept; when I started on Hive I knew nothing and rapidly found myself on a blacklist xD, but you helped me with all kinds of tips and advices and delegated HP and coins to me. Again, thank you very much my friend!
Thanks for the info @yintercept, I see how a mix of text and images could help the organic growth of the account but to be honest I don't plan to become viral inside HIVE or anything like that, I want my posts to reach the correct people and I think that the communities inside the platform are the best way to reach them.
To avoid any suspicion about ownership or how original my art is i added the link to my blog on my instagram page (link on bio too) which is like 8yo i think haha
I also plan to create a solid graphic style for every post which eventually people will see as my signature, I'd rather sacrifice a few followers and money to keep the artistry which is what I'm seeking with the blog (hope this makes sense)
Again, thanks for all the info and sending you a big hug from this side of the world 🙌
I went into detail because your post said you were interested in design. Designers tend to be interested in the reason behind design decisions.
HIVE is not driven by follower counts like Facebook or Twitter. It is based on communities and tags. Pretty much everyone interested in a community or tag will read your posts.
For example, a large number of people read every posts with the #introduceyourself tag.
BTW, you should only use the #introduceyourself tag on one post.
It is likely that the suspicion of ownership will be ongoing. It is the nature of the medium.
Welcome to HIVE. I wish you success.
