I created a new hamster painting but I was not really satisfied even I repainted it a couple times. As I was casually browsing youtube painting tutorials, I learned some new stuff in analysing the lights and colours, and how to block the shadings and colours to create a more convincing painting. So I drew another hamster to try out the stuff that I learned.
Draft, I just do a very simple hamster "portrait", so is more focused for me. xD I don't really know how to paint furs with patterns yet. So this hamster will be purely light brown fur.XD
I wanted to make him stand somewhere under the sun, I try to block out the simple light and dark area 1st.
Progressively painting lighter and darker area.
Darker shades and some darkest shadow where light cant really reach.
Continue to shading for the details

Added some saturated colour to make it looks like there is some translucent going on with the fur.
More adjusting and Final! I added some pink for the nose and hands.
I like the looks of the painting, as I nvr produce something like this before. This is pretty refreshing. Not really sure if the next painting will maintain but I will try to learn more fundamental skills.
