Humans are never made to be hermits, hiding in the shadow and isolated from the world. But that doesn’t mean that we should always surround by groups of people all the time, or even when you seemed to be seen to be alone, you are not lonely.
However what are the odds that you have one who is thousands of miles away but yet souls are kindred, where in time the love grows beyond measured?
Maybe, 1 in a million
He is my one in the million, more than 2 decades, till this day still keeping each other sane and focusing on the tasks we need to handle.
Well, at least that’s definitely for me. He is my life anchor, my guardian angel.
From millennial bug hype and the birth of the Internet, we met at the most unlikely places, a common chat room; and we never stopped chatting since, whenever there is a chance.
Never a dull moment
From hours of chat before his flights, to hours of chats before I go to bed, serious topics, goofy topics, heartfelt voices; eventually we learned to agree to disagree. We still learn till this very day.
Of course, nothing is perfect. We had our disagreements, misunderstandings, heartbrokenness and – “exile” from communication. Yet, when reconciliation happened it was like the “end” never really happened. It was just another turn of a new chapter, a chapter of better understanding and the love matures.
Every moment when we had a chance to have quality time together, even with years of gaps apart, the gap was like a pause button, and the play button resumes when the window opportunity for quality time reappears.
Right now, we can only hold our hearts close to each other, fight on all the challenges ahead, waiting for the next window of opportunity.
However, I know, my LORD is holding both of us in Christ Himself.
He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Colossians 1:17

If your spouse cannot be your best friend, he/she was never meant to be your spouse at the first place because it is all façade of lust.
