My Day At The Train Station

Honestly, I didn't want to write about today but I haven't been able to come up with anything for my day's post so I guess the universe wants to hear my day's story after all. I just hope it won't bore you to read about my day along side the pictures.

It's a Wednesday and a day I decided to visit school to get some things done and as usual I decided to use my normal route (The railway route). Before today, I was always excited to go on the train to school and back home because it is more comfortable using the train than other vehicles. But I don't think I'll be excited about it from now as today's experience was something else.

I remember making a post about my last railway experience and how I waited for so long to get on the train to return back to school... Today was worse if I can say, but it ended in a grand way that makes me feel better when I think about it.

So here's the thing, it was announced that the train should start giving tickets to only the number of seats in the train unlike before where people had to stand till they get to their destination (I've done that a lot of times, sadly). Because of this adjustment which I wasn't aware of, I got to the train station only to find out that they've sold the number of tickets they needed to sell for that morning.

I felt sad that I wasted my time to go there in the morning. So I went back to my aunt's place since it was closer to the train station to wait for the next train to come. I tried to sleep for sometime but you know that feeling of "What if by the time you're up, you'd have missed the second train?" 😂 so I made preparations for an alarm before I slept off 😉

I could say I woke up at the right time because I got prepared and went back to the train station and it took just an hour before the train arrived... And the shocking part of my day happened.

Tickets are sold already, no more tickets to sell!!!

That was the next thing I heard... Like when did they sell the tickets? How come there are still lots of people who haven't gotten ticket when it's finished already? Do I have to go back home and come super early the next day?

All my questions weren't answered but I got to meet a man working at the station and he asked me to wait for him... Of course I waited because I knew I wasn't prepared to go back home again. He came back to me asking that I pay my train fee, it was a little higher than the amount I normally pay but I gave it to him so long I was going to enter the train... I refused to believe that I was cutting corners to get into the train.

And finally, I got to enter the train but it happened that since I wasn't given ticket, I won't be able to sit till I get to my destination and I was like "Not again!" but the unexpected happened.

Just about the time the train was about to move, the man came in to get me to another couch. Lo and behold... It was the VIP couch, where people are more than comfortable in it 😍

I was so comfortable that I forgot to take pictures of me inside 😬 I'm still regretting that mistake up till now. You should have seen how much difference it was to be in the VIP and the regular. I don't know when I'll get the chance again but someday maybe.

I got to my destination and I'm finally at home resting, writing this post.

Thanks for reading!!!

Lol. I haven't been on a train before. I would really love to be on one. 🥺

Yes, @merit.ahama, you cut corners and even ended up in the VIP seat 😒

Wait, why Does the inside of the train look like that of a plane? 👀. I mean those partitions where people are putting their bags.

Imagine me talking as if I have been on either a plane or a train 😂😂😂

😂😂😂😂
Even if you've never been on a plane, a lot of us have seen movies where we get to see how inside and out of a plane looks like.

Well, the train is nice both inside and outside... We are just hoping Nigerians will not spoil it 😒

Lol. That's the truth Sha. I have a seen a bit of the interior and exterior of a plane before. And trains too. I never take note of that bag pack spots on trains though.

My country people can fall out hands 😂😂

I tire for this my country abeg 😒

You got a Vip seat 😉
I guess you enjoyed your ride down to school.
Though the day started rough but it ended well.😇😇😇😇

Exactly my dear, it ended well and I feel happy just thinking about my yesterday 😂

Certainly your story is similar to that of many, where a bad day can turn into something good. That is why we should not despair at first, and have patience to enjoy great things. I'm glad you shared your story, I really liked it @merit.ahama.

Seems you've had such days too, that's cool
Thanks for stopping by

Wow!!!!...🤔still wondering if that's our Nigerian train, the inside is so improved💯. Thank God for your successful trip🙏.

Yeah it is... I wondered more when I entered the VIP couch 🥲
I just hope Nigerians do not spoil this route for us 😂

Lolzzz...can't guarantee you that...I trust us naah....e fit still spoil ooo.😂😂😂😂😂

God help our country, Amen

Thank God that at a time you thought all hopes are lost, a better offer came.

I haven't travelled with a train before. I will love to have the experience

It's a really cool experience, I hope you get to have the experience soon

You sure had a very stressful day but thank goodness it ended well. What would have happened had it been the man didn't help you out? Perhaps you would have gone back home after all the waiting.

Sorry about the stress dear...

I really don't want to imagine what would have happened if the man had not helped me... Thanks a lot

Guess we are right to say the man was a Godsent. My prayers worked after all.. 😊😊

Yeah, thanks
