I have been working for this family for the ninth month. I take care of an old man. He has dementia and needs constant care. His name is Giuseppe. He is a good, good man. He was 90 years old.

When I crossed the threshold of this apartment for the first time, wonderful chandeliers caught my eye against the background of modest, quite old vintage furniture. All chandeliers were different in shape and color. But they all stood out in this apartment.
Коли я вперше переступила поріг цієї квартири то мені на фоні скромних , досить старих вінтажних меблів кинулись в око чудові люстри. Всі люстри були різні за формою та кольором. Але всі вони дуже виділялися у цьому помешканні.
There was a shoe cabinet and a huge long chest in the hallway. And a magnificent crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling. Its light was reflected in a beautiful mirror. When you accidentally touch the chandelier, the ceiling in the apartment is not high, then you hear the subtle ringing of crystal particles.
У коридорі стояла шафа для взуття та величезна довга скриня. І зі стелі звисала чудова кришталева люстра. Світло її відбивалося у гарному дзеркалі. Коли торкнешся люстри ненароком, стеля в квартирі не висока, то чуєш тонкий передзвін кришталевих частинок.
The same type of chandelier hangs in Signor Giuseppe's bedroom. I often touch her when I make the bed. Or, after all, a chandelier is not very appropriate for an apartment with a low ceiling. It seems to me that such a chic chandelier needs space. She is comfortable in such a small room.
Такого ж типу люстра висить у спальній кімнаті сеньйора Джузеппе. Часто я її зачіпаю, коли перестеляю ліжко. Або все таки люстра не дуже доречна до квартири, де низька стеля. Мені здається, що така шикарна люстра потребує простору. Їй затишно в такому маленькому приміщенні.
This is a chandelier from my bedroom. It is quite original and refined. Although the chandelier is designed for one light bulb, it lights up my room quite well. The only thing I always think about when I look at the chandelier is: "Just don't touch them...".
Це люстра з моєї спальні. Вона досить оригінальна і вишукана. Хоч люстра розрахована на одну лампочкy, проте вона досить добре освітлює мою кімнату. Єдине про що я завжди думаю, коли дивлюсь на люстру: " Тільки би їх не зачепити...".
In the kitchen there is this wonderful chandelier in the form of a large white flower. The chandelier is made of Murano glass, which I already wrote about in my posts. Murano glass products are very expensive. And recently I was so scared for this chandelier that the hair on my head stood on end. The masters who changed our heating boiler with their long ladder hit the chandelier every time.
В кухні знаходиться ця чудова люстра у вигляді великої білої квітки. Люстра зроблена з муранського скла, про яке я вже писала у своїх дописах. Вироби з муранського скла дуже дорогі. І я недавно так злякалася за цю люстра, що волосся на голові стало дибом. Майстрі, що міняли нам опалювальний котел зі своєю довгою драбиною щоразу зачіпали люстру.
This green, unusual chandelier decorates a small corridor. It shines with a soft light. It is also made on the island of Murano. It costs a lot of money.
