Yesterday's Cool Look To Donner Lake
There was a break in the big snowstorm yesterday afternoon. It had been dumping all day, a decent amount of snow piled up fast. I took the opportunity to make some tea, grab the camera, and walk across the street to Donner Lake in order to enjoy a little outdoor time.
When I got to the lake, I was surprised and pleased to see these cone shaped snow covered rocks! The cone look made them a bit unique compared to most snow covered rocks. Also, the lake was coated with a slushy slurpy layer of snow. The whole scene looked kind of surreal so I fired off many photos and even waited around until sunset, with hopes for a fiery colorful sky.

Wool, geometry and balance.
Wool has always been one of my favorites. Greek wool is rough, difficult to tolerate directly on your skin as a piece of clothing, at least for me, but perfect for other things like wall hangings, bookmarks, bags or pillows. It is stable and special, it has its own dynamic.
According to animism, everything is animated by spirits. I feel it strongly with wool, where the energy of the animal is present and works as a healing to me weaving with it and feeling it in my hands. Then it gives a beautiful energy to the place where you put it, especially if you like being surrounded by natural material.

Frosty day at the lake
During frosty days I went to the Frisian village of Hindeloopen, located on the IJsselmeer lake. Here are some photos taken while walking on the beach.
On the way back home I stopped in the very small village of Laaxum. There are a few fishing houses and a farm. The port of Laaksum is called the smallest fishing port in Europe.
Hoop you enjoy the images.

A trip to Monaco Part 2
I was in love with the oceanic museum in Monaco, you could see it from the boat as you pulled in to the harbour and it was just beautiful. I would love to have seen how they built it on such a huge cliff. I’ve never been anywhere like it, it had this atmosphere that was hard to explain. Walking around and looking at all the architecture was so much fun, there was a mixture of old and new and so much to see. We of course went to the Casino and to think what’s gone on inside those doors ! Was definitely cool to see these places in real life, having seen lots on tv it was kind of surreal being there! Looking forward to going back one day!

The Circle in Zurich
I remember when the construction of The Circle at the Zurich airport started. We were flying frequently at that time, and were annoyed with the traffic limitations that this construction was causing. We thought it would be a new shopping mall, but it turned out to be so much more. It took ages to build, and I believe it was finished a couple of years ago, but we only visited it last year for the first time.
It's a new district attached to the Zurich airport, and you can easily get there from the tram stop or even directly from the airport building.
