Reflecting on A Year of Posting Every Day

I cannot believe that it has been 365 days. This post marks the end of a year-long experiment, one that started exactly 365 days ago. I rarely commit myself to such things, and I am rarely on time with challenges, but for this one, I challenged myself: See if you can do it. As I noted in that post one year ago, I prised myself in terms of the quality of my posts, rather than the quantity thereof. Moreover, I always posted things that took my mind off of the daily hustle of real life. But sometimes the things that I do here carry over to my ("work") life.

Timeless Honfleur: A Journey Through Maritime, Artistic, and Historical Splendor

After spending Christmas with my family in Rouen, I felt the need for some space. I really enjoy family time, but after a while, I need to find myself again..

So, I embarked on a spontaneous seaside getaway, a journey of just an hour and twenty minutes. Without taking the highway, I headed towards Honfleur, a charming coastal town that seemed just a stone's throw away. This proximity to Rouen made the decision even more tempting – a perfect post-holiday escape.

Lesson Learned - The Importance of Self-Care/ LOH #166

When I saw this week’s prompt on Ladies of Hive I scoffed. What is the one lesson or knowledge you learned this year that benefitted you as a lady? What kind of question is that? I’m surely too old to learn new tricks, especially as a lady. That was the old me talking. The know-it-all no-time-for-bullshit woman I used to be. One of the most important things I learned in 2023 was that I am not as smart as I thought I was. This led me to understand the importance of self-care in its many aspects. Taking care of my body and my soul didn’t used to be a priority for me.

Hogwarts castle in portugal🚩🏰 / Castillo de hogwarts en Portugal🌏🍍

What a piece of adventure we lived today! As you can see, a Harry Potter exhibition arrived at the famous Obidos Castle in the northern part of the country, clearly as a fan of the Saga I would not miss the opportunity to take a magical walk through the streets of one of the most important walled cities for tourism. from Portugal, it was not only about visiting the magical event but also about visiting the city now in Christmas days when it is decorated very beautifully with lights everywhere!🌏🚩🏰

Happy New Year!

No loud parties, no crowds, the way I love to spend my New Year's Eve is by sitting down and reflecting. Giving myself a clean slate to start anew and plan ahead of how I'd wish to spend the upcoming year.

There is an immense power in giving yourself a clean slate and as a tool, it can be utilized way more often than just once a year. Look back - celebrate the good, forgive the bad and the ugly, and refocus on where you want to go further. Simple, elegant yet so profound.

I am so sorry for the late reply, but thank you so much @curie, @alcibiades and the others! I really appreciate all the effort and work you put in. I hope and trust that you had a wonderful start to the new year. Keep well, and thanks again!

I Love #hive but have never claimed to understand how to do any of the 'tech' things here, lol, but I finally just successfully delegated to #curie I did the 100HP following your link, so hopefully I did it correctly :)

Thank you, we appreciate the support! :)
