More like finding recommendations. The stigma that all VNs are only sex based is something I would love to alleviate, but if it’s there, I view it in context. If you view the other parts, it’s very isolated to towards the end and there’s an all ages version coming soon to probably steam

Im all about wizards and stuff, as well as having a loyal army of crows - so if you had a story about a witch or wizard who is followed by a pack of crows, I’d be stoked to read it! I don’t want to be too specific and stifle creativity, so I guess this is my recommendation lol :)

I haven't touched any of the Fate or Rance games yet but both franchises are going to be the closest you'll get to that style. They're both Eroge (sexually explicit; medieval visual novels that are not set in Feudal Japan or a school of some type are extremely niche due to market appeal).

If you want to get into Fate to see if you'd like to pursue that series (which I would love to see thoughts on from a non-Visual Novel player, to be honest), many people recommend watching the Anime Fate/Zero. The original Fate/Stay Night adaptation by Studio Deen can be hit or miss depending on how you feel about the art style and some of its "humor."

On the Full Metal Alchemist, was that live action or the Anime?

Dude, thanks for the recommendation! I'm not sure how to get started with any of this, but I'm gonna google it and figure it out because it sounds awesome!

On fullmetal, I did watch both, but I really only cared for the anime. also, there were times when I had to watch the dubbed version (cuz I can't read subtitles AND fold laundry 😆) but I really prefer the Japanese version with subtitles. The voices and the energy are all so much better that way for me personally.

...Once I figure out how/where to watch Fate, I'm going to chew through it and watch it all. After that, I'll be searching online (or perhaps bothering you for assistance) to figure out how to gain access to the VN game - this all sounds so rad, I'm stoked man!

A lot of Fate should be on Crunchyroll. This is the "simple" guide to getting into the series as a whole:

Hahaha!!! The top comment on that post:

LOL I’m not discouraged though, I’m going to give this a whirl and take it as it comes. I checked out the VN via my browser, they recommended downloading the game so you can save progress…is this VN downloadable for IOS?
