I guess this is how a 1700 plays

I know I said I'm retired from my Road to 1500 ELO in chess.com, but that doesn't mean I'm done playing, it just means I have taken off my shoulders a huge burden. I was putting in too much time and effort into reaching an intermediate level of 1500, which would put me in the top 5% of chess players in the biggest chess website in the world.

The thing is I was stressing too much and the anxiety of losing ELO points was just too much for me, especially since I am trying to focus most of my time in things that actually put money in my pocket - and unless you are a super grandmaster or a successful youtuber and streamer, Chess will never bring in money for you - and Chess was draining too much from my side.

But I am still playing for fun and there's not a best place to do that than playing on the Hive Chess league.

So here I am, playing without stress and just for fun and well, you guessed it, just like Hikaru, when I play for fun and not care about the result, it turns out I play like a 1700 on Lichess. In case you don't know anything about Chess, that is a great level, incredible if you take into account that I was a 1000 Lichess player around a year ago.

I missed the game against @stayoutoftherz because I misclicked and left the tournament for a second, but without counting that game I actually finished 5-4 in a tournament where the average rating is like 1800, so I did quite well.

Here's the vid of my performance, the first ten minutes I play without sound because I'm stupid, but after the first game I realize I blundered my microphone and now you can listen to my banter and trashtalk. Skip to minute 10 if you don't like to watch soundless videos.

I thought something was wrong with my sound until I read you now at the end. 😅

Oh ya I’m silly and didn’t record sounds for the first ten minutes haha

I don't take my chess games serious like you do. That's why I blunder so much.

I really thought you had me after I blundered my Queen! Nice game man
