Dear chess fans,
the first chess super-tournament of 2025 will start in 2 days, at 2pm CET, in Wijk aan Zee, Netherlands.

Format is a single round-robin (so all 14 players play once against each other) in a classical time format with 100 min. for the first 40 moves, then 50 min. for 20 moves, then 15 min. for the rest of the game, with a 30-sec. increment per move from move one already (unlike in many other tournaments). So ample time to think. We should expect some great chess from this one. It is also Gukesh´s first tournament as reigning world champion!
