Another round is in the books, and the competition is only getting tougher! Round 4 saw some incredible games, intense battles, and a few heartbreaking blunders (I’m the victim here 😅).

😵 My Toughest Moment of the Round
I almost beat myself up on Friday after making one of the worst blunders of my tournament so far. I was playing against Jonbellionfan, and everything was looking decent… until I handed him the game on a silver platter. 😭
If you enjoy watching train wrecks in slow motion, here’s the GIF of my tragic moment:
👉 Watch my blunder !
Lesson learned: Never rush a move, even when the position feels safe.
🎭 A Redemption Arc? Chess960 on Saturday!
After that disaster, I decided to shake it off and join the Chess960 game on Saturday. Big thanks to @sammy00 for the reminder—I might have skipped otherwise.
Thankfully, it wasn’t as tragic as my Round 3 Chess960 game (if you know, you know 🤦🏽♂️). It’s still wild adjusting to the unpredictable starting positions, but it’s also fun to step out of the usual opening theory mindset.
See you'll next round 🔥
when is the next round?
Next week Friday. Check this post for rules: Hive chess competition .
You can ask @stayoutoftherz for more information. He's quite interactive
😅😅😅
So sorry for laughing. I have always preferred to watch chess than to play it. Reminds me of a friend of mine who made a very great blunder with his queen because he thought it was safe. Oh boy!
Wish you better luck and few blunders in your next game.✨
Thank you 😉
You should try playing
😂
I'll pass.
Lol, can I get your socials. Maybe IG
