In this endgame problem I would advance the rook pawn to the eight rows for a queen.

I would play Bd4 then; thus the diagonal d4-a1 will be blocked with a pawn or a piece and enables the pawn on a3 to promote.;
2....Bd4 3. Nxd4 a2 -+
