Egoism can indeed align with tradition at times and conflict with tradition at others. It's up to the individual on a voluntary basis. Plus blind collectivism is typically a net negative but informed collectivism can have its' merits. Right on.

Definitely. If you believe in a tradition or rule because you find that it's beneficial, but don't believe in following it for it's own sake, you're 100% a willing egoist.

I would argue that 'informed collectivism' is still self-interested individualism lol. Working with other people as a tribe voluntarily is natural and beneficial for the individual human.
