Recently, many YouTubers are complaining of having their monetized views from Sept 14-30 go to 0.
After these content creators started creating support tickets, YouTube responded saying that this was a bug
but later changed their answer citing 'invalid traffic' as the reason for the ad revenue loss.
Adding fuel to the fire, YT decides to pass the buck off to the content creator

This odd and over-encumbering, policy is already showing numerous flaws as content creators have little control over who clicks through onto their channel.
In addition to the full loss of 2 weeks of ad revenue in September, affected users are also complaining of an over 50% loss in cpm revenue.
Since this controversy has started, YouTubers and their audiences have taken to twitter to get answers and accountability. Some have started to band together under the hashtag #YouTubeWageTheft.

Yeah I know, right? I was wondering what happened to one YT gamer I follow and he updated us on the situation. I hope that people peel off YT and come to more decentralized platforms to stick it to YT so they change their policies to better support their content creators. It's the only way they'll make big reforms like that.
yes. monopols won't change..
