Recently, I have been reading a series on note, a Japanese blogging platform.
It is about a romance scam involving cryptocurrency, where a man was defrauded of several million yen. The author shares his real-life experience in chronological order.
The author had previously received welfare assistance. Despite overcoming that situation and even building his own house, he lost all his assets to a scam last year. He was persuaded by someone he met online to deposit funds into a fake exchange, resulting in a loss of several million yen.
Moreover, the funds he lost were borrowed from a credit card company, turning the entire amount into his debt. The blog also details his interactions with the scammer, the credit card company, and the police. Thinking about his dire financial and mental state is heartbreaking, and I can’t help but sigh every time I read it. However, the detailed description of the scam techniques and the process leading to the loss of funds is very informative, making me continue reading despite the heavy feelings.
On a different note, today I came across a post on X about someone who had all his assets drained from his wallet. This person had downloaded a game app recommended by someone they met through X DMs, which led to all the funds in their wallet being stolen.
I often see such posts. Recently, romance scams and scams involving app downloads (such as meeting apps or game apps) have been particularly prevalent, but I have no idea how scammers might evolve their methods in the future.
Romance scams are especially cruel because they take time to build trust before leading the victim into investment scams. I truly hope these scammers are caught soon.
However, while news of stolen cryptocurrency are common, news of the perpetrators being caught are not. This suggests that these crimes have a high success rate.
Owning cryptocurrency and sharing that fact on social media means constantly being at risk of such scams. I remind myself that I have 'not yet' fallen victim to one.

最近noteで気になる連載があり、読んでいます。
暗号資産を利用したロマンス詐欺によって数百万円をだまし取られた男性の話で、著者の実体験が時系列で語られているブログです。
ブログの著者は過去に生活保護を受けていたこともあるとのこと。その状態から何とか生活を立て直し、家まで建てることができたのに、昨年詐欺で全財産を失ってしまったそうです。インターネットで知り合った相手に勧められるまま、架空の取引所に入金してしまったことが原因です。被害総額は数百万円。
しかも。その数百万円はクレジットカード会社に借りて捻出した資金であり、そのまま彼の借金になってしまったのだそう。ブログには詐欺師やクレジットカード会社、警察とのやり取りも詳細に綴られています。著者の追い詰められた経済状況や精神状態を考えると気の毒でならず、読み進めるたびにため息が出ます。。。 しかし、詐欺の手口や資金を失うまでの経緯が丁寧に記されていて参考になるため、ついつい読んでしまうんですよね。
またそれとは別ですが、今日Xのおすすめに「ウォレットから全資産を抜かれた」というポストが流れてきました。この方もXのDMで知り合った相手に勧められたゲームアプリをダウンロードしたことが原因で、ウォレットの資金をすべて奪い取られてしまったというものでした。
こういうポストはたびたび目にします。最近はロマンス詐欺とアプリのダウンロード（ミーティングアプリやゲームアプリ）の手口が特に多いように思いますが、今後詐欺師側もどう進化していくか分かりません。
ロマンス詐欺は特に、時間をかけて信頼関係を築いてから投資に誘導するようなので、二重で残酷だと思います。ほんと、早く捕まって欲しい。
しかし、「ウォレットから暗号資産を抜かれた」という話はよく聞くものの、その犯人が捕まったという話は聞きません。それほど、成功率の高い犯罪なのだと思います。
暗号資産を持つということ、持っているということをSNSで発信することは、こうした詐欺と常に隣り合わせの場所にいるということですね。自分自身についても、「まだ」詐欺に遭っていないだけ、と考えるようにしたいです。

It's ok kyo stay safe. You are married so I think it will be harder to fall for romance scam ;p . Romance scam is very strong against lonely rich people haha.
I think I'm ok because I rarely use any social networking sites other than Hive...I hope I don't run into any scammers on Hive!

In my Steemit days, I've been linked to a fake login screen that tries to get me to enter my master password in the comments section.

The case you present is very sad. It is not the only one, a friend of mine who was scammed about 6000 euros in a cryptocurrency scam. The scammers had even created a fake website. This can happen, but I think there are things that can be avoided, such as making public ostentaciín of having many assets, this is reckless.

6,000 euros is too much to lose in a scam. I am very sorry for your friend. It seems that a fake exchange website was also prepared in the above example, and such schemes may be more common these days.
