Today, I want to share with you one of my favorite drawings I did of this amazing character, Edogawa Ranpo from the anime Bungou Stray Dogs! 🕵🏻 Without a doubt, Ranpo is my favorite character from this anime and that's why I put so much love into my one drawing of him, so as always, stay until the end to see how I did it! ✨

Hoy, quiero compartir con ustedes uno de mis dibujos favoritos que hice de este increíble personaje, ¡Edogawa Ranpo del anime Bungou Stray Dogs! 🕵🏻 Sin duda, Ranpo es mi personaje favorito de este anime y por eso le puse tanto amor a mi único dibujo de él, así que como siempre, ¡quédate hasta el final para ver cómo lo hice! ✨
This is the anime for those who have not seen it, its name is Bungou Stray Dogs and the truth is that it is an anime that I highly recommend. I consider that absolutely ALL the characters are super well done and have each one their own, the plot is great, the arcs get better and better and the fact that the names of the characters as well as their powers are directly related to real life literary authors is something that gives it the touch. It would be super cool if you gave it a chance 🤎.
Este es el anime para los que no lo han visto, su nombre es Bungou Stray Dogs y la verdad es que es un anime que recomiendo ampliamente. Considero que absolutamente TODOS los personajes están súper bien hechos y tienen cada uno lo suyo, la trama es genial, los arcos cada vez son mejores y el hecho de que los nombres de los personajes así como sus poderes estén directamente relacionados con autores literarios de la vida real es algo que le da el toque. Estaría super bien que le dieras una oportunidad 🤎.

Now yes, the whole process. As I always like to mention, the program I use to make all my drawings is the wonderful Clip Studio Paint and my graphics tablet is a Gaomon S620, it's not great but it's my little best friend and has everything I need for now. I started first making the sketch in a red color, although for the parts of the drawing of hands, I also used a turquoise blue color so as not to confuse the hands and to know which is one and which is the other when making the Lineart. As for general sketch, I know it looks a little weird in the part of the eyes but I promise that after I fix lmao 😅♡.
Ahora sí, todo el proceso. Como siempre me gusta mencionar, el programa que uso para hacer todos mis dibujos es el maravilloso Clip Studio Paint y mi tableta gráfica es una Gaomon S620, no es la gran cosa pero es mi pequeña mejor amiga y tiene todo lo que necesito por ahora. Empecé primero haciendo el boceto en un color rojo, aunque para las partes del dibujo de las manos, también utilicé un color azul turquesa para no confundir las manos y saber cual es una y cual es la otra a la hora de hacer el Lineart. En cuanto al boceto general, se que se ve un poco raro en la parte de los ojos pero prometo que después lo arreglo lmao 😅♡.
Once the sketch was ready, I lowered the opacity and in another layer on top I started to do the Lineart, that's where I add all the final details, like hair, expressions, all that. As you can see I fixed the eyes and detailed the clothes ♡.
Una vez listo el boceto, bajé la opacidad y en otra capa encima empecé a hacer el Lineart, ahí es donde añado todos los detalles finales, como pelo, expresiones, todo eso. Como pueden ver arreglé los ojos y detallé la ropa ♡.
Also, to make the drawing more dynamic and to have a little more Ranpo vibe haha, I drew some assorted candies on one side of the canvas and when I was satisfied with these little drawings, I put them on her face simulating some candy stickers. For those who don't know, Ranpo is a direct lover of sweets so this seemed very appropriate. Once this was done, I had the Lineart finished ♡.
Además, para que el dibujo fuera más dinámico y tuviera un poco más de Ranpo vibra jaja, dibujé algunos caramelos variados en un lado del lienzo y cuando estuve satisfecho con estos dibujitos, se los puse en la cara simulando unas pegatinas de caramelos. Para los que no lo sepan, Ranpo es un amante directo de los dulces así que esto me pareció muy apropiado. Una vez hecho esto, ya tenía el Lineart terminado ♡.
Now I moved on to the base colors. First I painted the whole drawing with one color, which I do so that I don't have to clean up the drawing afterwards and so that everything I colored later doesn't go out of this limit. Then I added the base colors in separate Skin, Hair and Clothes layers ♡.
Ahora pasé a los colores base. Primero pinté todo el dibujo con un solo color, lo cual hago para no tener que limpiar el dibujo después y para que todo lo que coloreé después no se salga de este límite. Luego añadí los colores base en capas separadas de Piel, Pelo y Ropa ♡.
And once I did that, I moved on to my favorite part which is rendering. As always, I started rendering the skin first, in this part the first thing I add are more details to the face, I always like to add blushes and blushes in different tones more colorful than the base. Also in this part I add the main shadows, where I give them a very subtle lilac detail but I feel it looks great, and I add other color varieties for the drawing ♡.
Y una vez hecho esto, pase a mi parte favorita que es el render. Como siempre, primero empecé renderizando la piel, en esta parte lo primero que agrego son más detalles a la cara, siempre me gusta agregar rubores y coloretes en diferentes tonos más coloridos que la base. También en esta parte agrego las sombras principales, donde les doy un detalle lila muy sutil pero siento que se ve muy bien, y agrego otras variedades de color para el dibujo ♡.
Here I added the lilac detail I mentioned to you in the strong shadows and also detailed the hands using a very subtle green for the veins ♡.
Aquí añadí el detalle lila que les mencioné en las sombras fuertes y también detallé las manos usando un verde muy sutil para las venas ♡.
Hair rendering (Not something that is very noticeable because of the character's hair tone but it's not too much to show it) ♡.
Renderizado de pelo (No es algo que se note mucho por el tono de pelo del personaje pero no está demás mostrarlo) ♡.
Rendering of the clothes, where I added the strong shadows and also little details and spots in different areas to give it more color variety ♡.
Render de la ropa, donde añadí las sombras fuertes y también pequeños detalles y manchas en diferentes zonas para darle más variedad de color ♡.
And lastly, I added the details on the lips, painted the candy stickers on the face and also intensified the lineart more as I always like how it looks ♡.
Y por último, añadí los detalles en los labios, pinté las pegatinas de caramelo en la cara y también intensifiqué más el lineart ya que siempre me gusta como queda ♡.

Realmente me encantó hacer este Fanart, sobre todo porque me encanta este personaje y cuando apenas empezaba en todo este mundo del dibujo digital, intenté dibujarlo pero fue un caos 🥲 simplemente odié el dibujo y nunca lo compartí, así que después de tres años quise darle una oportunidad a Ranpo de nuevo y Dios mío, ¡me encantó! Me encantó dibujar las manos porque me di cuenta de lo mucho que he mejorado desde entonces y también en general me encantaron los colores del dibujo ✨.
