What if, after six years of divorce your ex-wife suddenly brings a child and to your surprise that child is none other than yours.
This story follows Takefumi, a diligent and meticulous police officer. One day he is suddenly visited by his ex-wife Esuga Chitose who has become more beautiful than before and is now working as a reporter.
Chitose asked Takefumi out for a drink and a chat. During this Takafumi notices that Chitose has remained single since their divorce. Chitose was so drunk that Takefumi took her to her house and when they arrived at Chitose's house, Takefumi was shocked by the presence of the cute little girl. A six-year-old daughter of Chitose.
At first Takefumi thinks the child is Chitose's daughter with another man. However, it turns out the child is his own. Takefumi had no idea that after their divorce, Chitose got pregnant and has been raising their child ever since. Takefumi immediately proposes to Chitose again (asked to let him take responsibility too) because he worries their child isn't getting enough to raise properly.
However, he is rejected immediately with a punch. The next day, Takefumi sneaks around, to see his daughter, and so the story of a family that begins with a divorce starts.
The name of this manga is "Uchi Wa Wakarete Kurashiteru," and in English it's "So Let's Start Being a Family Again," or "We Were Living Apart, So Let's Start Being a Family Again."
This manga "Uchi Wa Wakarete Kurashiteru" (by Kawahara Ren) was released in the year 2021, and it only had 14 chapters. It's not very long, so you can read & finish it in a day or less.

Ahahhahaha this got me laughing! I'll definitely read this! It seems really interesting, and I'm glad the woman isn't like the typical swooning anime girls—but the punch sure was personal. ahahhaha (he deserved it, tho? right?)...Btw, nice recommendation. It's not everyday I find recommendations with unusual and intriguing plots.
