I've never imagined myself being hooked on some anime movies and TV series as they are far from the genres I like. But my daughter @tegoshei loves anime so much ever since she was a kid and even until now.
I once got mad at her because I thought she was not focusing on her studies. I saw her doing her notes and assignment but at the same time watching anime or some cartoons on TV. I already set a rule to separate her studies from watching TV, but she still broke that rule.
But then, she was stubborn because of her love for anime. Yet, she was so clever too, she made a deal with me to let her continue her anime activities while studying and maintaining her scores and grades.
I agreed with her deal with the condition that she should really stop watching anime during her study time if ever her grades plunged. Luckily, she didn't only get higher scores and grades but was even top of the class. Just then, I realized that that's her way of studying, she might be inspired and motivated by watching anime. So I let her do what she wanted.
And later on, I decided to enter her world, including her anime world. Right then, I came to fully understand her. We sometimes watch anime together, and sometimes I watch alone when she's working. I've even watched more Ghibli movies than her. Speaking of Studio Ghibli, which I like very much, and upon knowing that I can share my opinion here regarding the movies or TV series that I watched made me interested too.

Just recently, I rewatched "Laputa: Castle in the Sky". I first watched it with my daughter a long time ago. And I watched it again alone for the second time because I really liked and enjoyed it. I rewatched it recently for the third time! Hehehπ

Laputa: Castle in the Sky follows the story of the two orphan kids, Sheeta and Pazu. They are pursued by the government agent Muska, the army, and a group of pirates. They all wanted to go to Laputa, a legendary flying castle. The only key for entering the castle is the crystal necklace that Sheeta inherited from her family.
What I love the most about this film is the story itself. Even though this is one of the oldest films in Studio Ghibli, I still consider it as one of my "all-time favorites". I love Sheeta and Pazu's friendship and how they conquered all the struggles they encountered, and I also love how the group of pirates changed.

It was so overwhelming and breathtaking to watch the beautiful scenes in the sky while they travel bound to Laputa and much more all those amazing scenes right in the flying castle.
The adventure, the visuals, how the characters portrayed their roles, and even the music, everything is amazing. And I can say it's also an enjoyable movie for all ages.
A valuable movie indeed because you can also learn some lessons from this movie. I think one of the important lessons that I've learned is to value nature and to use technology in a proper way. As human beings, we should balance our relationship with nature; we should preserve it rather than destroy it out of personal greed. There are still a lot of valuable lessons we can learn from this movie.
So I highly recommend "Laputa: Castle in the Sky". You will surely like it, it's really a well-crafted adventure story with imaginative and awesome visuals. You will surely like and love Sheeta and Pazu and of course, pirate Dola. This is really a must-watch movie.
I'll just end it here, and I hope that you're gonna watch this Studio Ghibli movie, especially for those who haven't watched it yet.
Thank you so much for stopping by, and God bless!! π₯°π
