It is no secret that we cannot like everything and no matter how much we try those things just don't seem interesting which is completely normal. Over the years there have been things that after a couple try I end up falling in love with and others , well let's just say I end up hating them even more. The world of anime is no different . It's no secret ( since I am obviously here) that I am a huge anime enthusiast and I usually pride myself with being able to watch any type of anime unless it is overrun by fan service and ecchi scenes but as time goes by, i soon that to realize that there are tons of animes that i just can't seem to get into no matter how hard i try even when it legitimately has an interesting storyline and a healthy fanbase. One of those animes happens to be black lagoon.
Black lagoon is supposed to be an action packed anime with interesting fight scenes, great story telling, character development and not your every day average seinen anime but for some reason
I can never get into it. The anime starts off with a Japanese worker by the name of Rokuro okajima who was sent on a business trip to Southeast Asia where he was later kidnapped by a band of mercenaries/ pirates. His kidnappers try to use him as a tool for bargaining against his company but he soon discovers how disposable he truly is with his company even going as far as sending mercenaries to eliminate him together with his captors. After the whole incident is resolved, Rokuro realizing he has no place to go decides to join the group that initially kidnapped him dubbing the name 'Rock' and together he goes on numerous jobs with the rest of the crew namely the leader Butch, Revy the gun slinging lassy and Benny the tech expert. But despite its positive reputation and numerous recommendations from the people around me, the anime has still been unable to hold my interest for anything more than four episodes and this discovery still shocks me till this very day. I have seen every episode of gangsta and although both stories are extremely different I do believe that if
I am able to watch gangsta then maybe I should be able to give it black lagoon a try. However anytime I try to get into it I end up falling asleep, waking up to try again only to fall asleep a few minutes later so maybe black lagoon might just be a digital sleeping pill for me.
Black lagoon is a stylish, brutal anime with diverse casts but none of its characteristics seems to align with me, so forcing myself to watch it probably isn't worth the stress and waste of time. Everybody has their taste in anime and from the look of things black lagoon just isn't one of them.

Uno de esos animes es Black Lagoon. Black Lagoon se supone que es un anime emocionante con escenas de lucha interesantes, una gran narrativa, desarrollo de personajes y no es el anime Seinen promedio, pero por alguna razón, nunca puedo entrar en él. But actually makes me lazy, I'm tryna limit that.
Once I had interest on a movie but later fyn out is animation, I immediately lost interest! Na matter how fun the movie could be!
Everyone has interest on what the likes, but we can't force ourselves on what we don't like, no matter how people exaggerate it!
