I found your review super interesting! I haven't had the chance to read The Swordmaster's Youngest Son, but with everything you mentioned about the regression in time, the struggle for power, and the development of the protagonist, it definitely caught my attention. I like it when characters have a well-constructed evolution, and from what you say, Jin seems to have an impressive growth. I'm also intrigued by the universe you describe, with the segmentation of territories and the rivalry between families. I will definitely put it on my list and read it when I get the chance.
