We return to the greatness of One Piece, these last chapters have been full of action, Kaido has received more blows than anyone in this manga, however, this beast is still quite fresh, despite receiving very powerful attacks and continuing with the action, this chapter has enough. A great chapter, with certain revelations and an ending long awaited by many fans.
One Piece 1003 "Night on the Board", starts being the direct continuation of the last chapter, with Luffy attacking Kaido with all his strength, while Yonkou receives attacks in different parts of the body. In a rather spectacular double-page spread, you can see Luffy's fury towards Kaido. And before the sight of Zoro and the others, witnessing the level of Luffy's power and moreover, before a Big Mom quite impressed of what is happening.
Luffy gives a last blow to Kaido that impacts him against the ground. However, Luffy is already out of haki and falls down from exhaustion. Luffy can only activate G4 for a few minutes. The Kid is surprised at what just happened to Luffy, since he thought that Kaido had attacked him, but Law explains that after Luffy runs out of Haki, he has to wait 10 minutes to use it again. In other words, Luffy is defenseless for 10 minutes.
In this situation, Big Mom takes advantage of Luffy's moment of weakness and decides to attack him, covering his sword with flames, but Zoro manages to charge his capital, save him and evade the attack.
Kid and Killer decide to attack Kaido while he is still on the ground, while Law attacks Big Mom with a "counter-shock", although it is a rather useless attack, he manages to at least stop Big Mom for a few seconds. While Kid is getting closer to Kaido, the Yonkou is getting up little by little.
And in a very impressive scene, in a double page spread, we see how Kaido begins to spin and giant tornadoes start to form, pushing everyone away. Due to the force of the wind and the confusion of the moment, Zoro releases Luffy, and Kaido takes advantage of the situation and "eats" Straw Hat.
However, there is Zoro to save his captain, and using his 3-sword style, he performs an attack very similar to Kaido's, so that he manages to cut the Dragon a little. Killer is impressed since Zoro managed to cut Kaido's scales, and while Zoro was preparing his attack, Kaido managed to perceive a known Haki in one of Zoro's swords, to later realize that Zoro has one of Oden's swords, Enma.
Kaido is very annoyed and performs another attack, this time again using the air cutting waves, but at a higher level. While Zoro and the others, dodge the attacks as best they can. Killer deflecting the attack with his Punisher, Law using his Room to dodge and move in different places, and Kid receiving the attacks but in his Mecha made of metal garbage and Zoro likewise evading attacks while carrying a very tired Luffy.
They change scene and this time we are inside the castle where the fight between the samurai and Kaido's army is still going on. We also see the ninjas who were under Orochi's orders and likewise, we see Orochi's decapitated head on the ground (although I think this character is alive), and later, a mysterious character mentions that: His partner (Orochi) is dead.
The "mysterious" character continues talking about the inevitable war that would happen in Wano since the defeat of Doflamingo and that the fight between Kaido and the "Worst Generation" was going to happen in the same way. He also talks about "destiny" (a word that is used a lot in One Piece), about the alliance of the samurai. After this they show who the "mysterious" character is, and that is the CP0, which is the most powerful agency of the World Government.
A woman, which on her face has a leaf and on it the same drawing that Whos Who has on his chest, a drawing that has been seen several times throughout Wano, mentions that there have been 5400 infiltrators in Onigashima, between pirates and samurai and that 400 have died. While on the part of Kaido are 30000, but have lost 3000.
While between the group talks, we see several fight scenes that are happening inside the castle. And they also mention that even if they kill Kaido, as long as they don't also eliminate Kaido's strongest men, this war will not end.
While we see different battle fronts, among them: Franky vs Sasaki. Sanji running away and being humiliated again. Ussop shooting someone, while he is together with Nami, who is preparing an attack and Tama, who is pointing something to Nami, we also see Ulti, who seems to be chasing Nami and the others. Jinbei fighting and Yamato, along with Momonosuke and Shinobu, which also seems to be fighting someone. To end with the head of CP0 saying very coldly to "eliminate each other". Implying that the CP0 will act once the war is over and will take advantage of the fatigue and destruction of the moment.
Already in the last page, and in one of the most expected moments since they showed Kaido in dragon form, we see Luffy, Law and Kid, with aspects of being quite tired and impressed by what they are seeing. We see Kaido's huge silhouette, much larger than normal, as he has activated his hybrid form, which is the strongest form of a Zoan user. As the chapter ends, with Kaido laughing and saying that "this is fun", while Big Mom replies to him, while also laughing that "I was thinking the same thing". Thus ending the chapter, leaving us with the desire to see Kaido's hybrid form, but with the good news that next week there is a chapter. Although I'm sure they won't show Kaido's new form in 1004.
That episode was brutal, now waiting for the next one to be released on Friday. Looking forward to seeing it.
