Manga Review: One Piece: Ace'Story 2 “The Devil's child”

in The Anime Realm4 years ago

I had completely forgotten about this Spin-Off manga and it's been several months since I talked about the first part, and it's also been several months since the 2nd part came out. I don't know why I forgot, but once again returns this manga adaptation of a novel about Ace, which, like the first part, is drawn by the great Boichi and once again shows us that this mangaka is a master of drawing, with great ease it could be said that he is currently one of the best manga artists today and by far.

But let's talk about this chapter. This chapter, in a few words, shows us how Ace, before joining Whitebeard's crew, formed his own pirate band and lives adventures, always in order to be better than the King of Pirates (Gold D Roger) and also wanting to challenge Whitebeard.

At some point in the story even his pirate band gets to meet the former "right hand" of the Pirate King himself, being the 2nd strongest in Roger's crew. Even his adventure continues on Gyoyin Island where Ace shows his great strength and courage by easily defeating an opponent using his Conqueror's Haki.

Even in his great adventure, he gets to meet Shanks who is one of the 4 pirate emperors, they have a conversation about Luffy, and how the two of them (Luffy and Ace) became "brothers" after a toast.

Basically this manga focuses on Ace's adventure, to the point of showing us the battle between Ace and Jinbei. Always with a spectacular drawing style. This fight is a visual spectacle, Boichi's drawing is beautiful, dynamic and unique.

The battle between Ace and Jinbei was very evenly matched, practically their abilities counteracted each other, so it lasted 5 days of intense battle to the death.

However, as expected, Whitebeard appeared on the scene, who was ready to face Ace.

The result was quite obvious and Ace and his crew were easily defeated and the chapter ends showing Ace looking up to the sky and sees the figure of his father, which reminds him of his great legacy.

This manga is beautiful, a clean drawing that few manga have, it really is a wonder to see every page of this manga, which I look forward to the next chapter.
