A few months ago I made a post and talked about how Jujustu Kaisen could be the new mainstay of Shonen Jump, and looking back I was not entirely wrong and the fame that this manga has achieved since its anime adaptation is huge, but this was not possible thanks to the magnificent work being done by the animation studio MAPPA throughout this work. Jujutsu Kaisen has become so popular since its anime adaptation, that even in Google Japan searches it has surpassed Kimetsu No Yaiba, which is a manga/anime, that even surpassed One Piece in sales, and last year it was crowned as the most popular anime and manga of all 2020, a pretty incredible milestone, for an anime with only one season, but all this is thanks to its adaptation, which was made by one of the most impressive animation studios in Japan: Ufotable.

But leaving Kimetsu no Yaiba aside (as I will talk about it again in a future post). Jujutsu Kaisen had all the elements to become a very popular anime/manga: with well-built and developed characters, with excellent and very deep plots, with situations that really have an impact on the story and the characters and excellent fights. With all those elements, this manga already enjoyed quite a lot of fame, even without its anime adaptation, but now, this fame is huge. MAPPA is also working on the 4th and last season of Attack On Titan anime, and even though it is not equal to the excellent work that Wit Studio did with the previous seasons of this anime, MAPPA still does excellently well with Jujutsu Kaisen, you could even say that some parts of Jujutsu Kaisen anime are better than the manga itself, even though the manga also has a pretty incredible style and a very impressive way of transmitting the action of the paddles.

That's why, I'm looking forward to see how MAPPA will adapt Chainsaw Man to anime, and this manga is quite difficult to adapt, not only for its level of violence, blood and gore, but also for its moments of madness in which everything is deformed, which are very difficult things to adapt to an animation. I also hope that this animation studio does a great job with Chainsaw Man, since this manga is very loved by the community.

Jujutsu Kaisen has a very good future ahead, both in its manga as well as in its anime if they keep doing an excellent job as they have been doing during these months. MAPPA is the studio that is currently one of the most famous in Japan, and their great work in different anime are proof of that.

It's rushing way too fast for a long-runner. Of course, there's a lot of fun and every other episode feels like an utter explosion, but how long could it keep up this pace? hmm, ~~ 50-60Ep max. is my guess, which is great, but also very brief.
Ain't that sad?
yeah, true, at some point this season has to stop, because it may catch up too closely to the manga. I don't think this first season has many episodes left, since the manga is only 139 chapters long.
