Naruto was the first manga which I was following weekly in each chapter, I remember waking up in the early morning to see the leaks of the week's chapter or to see if the chapter had come out completely. I'm very fond of this manga, even though its hasty ending, with over-exploitation of characters, unnecessary power ups, meaningless plots union, integration of characters coming out of nowhere and Sasuke's "over-protagonism", all these factors made my final score to Naruto, after the last saga (and a little before this last saga) drop a lot, however, I can't deny that I still like this manga/anime, or at least I like to remember those epic moments that this story has.

So in spite of that end and as with Bleach, I was looking forward to seeing the new project of this mangaka, because after the end of Naruto, Kishimoto in interviews mentioned that he would like his next project to be of "mechas" (giant robots) and at that time he had made an illustration of some really good meccas, and I thought that if his next manga would have that kind of designs, it would be something really spectacular, however, it was not.

Kishimoto's next project would be: Samurai 8 (although technically it would be the manga of "Boruto", Naruto's son), however this manga only destroys the little that Naruto had left undestroyed before his end, so I consider that Boruto's manga does not exist hehe.

I remember when they announced Kishimoto's next project "Samurai 8" and even though this time he was not in charge of drawing the manga, as one of his assistants did it when he was drawing Naruto, Kishimoto was in charge of the whole part of the story (although the drawing of this new manga was quite similar to Kishimoto's, so it was quite good). However, this story didn't have any glitter. A simple, monotonous story, with characters with clichéd personalities.

The story was a union between samurai and aliens, that is, two of the many things that made Naruto turn into a piece of garbage at the end of his manga. The typical story of overcoming, the child of the prophecy, pure garbage, to the point that Samurai 8 was cancelled, I don't remember that there has been any manga author as big and famous as Kishimoto that has been cancelled a manga. If I am not mistaken, Kishimoto is the first mangaka who has gone through this, and that is proof of how disappointed he left his audience with the end of Naruto.

Even though I had a lot of faith in Samurai 8, I only read the first 5 chapters, after that I got completely bored, because it is a slow story, but at the same time it puts in a lot of information, and that becomes very overwhelming and boring.

It is a pity for Kishimoto and I hope with much illusion that his next project will be something really good and worthy of what Naruto once was.
