Greetings friends. The other day, a few weeks ago or so, I shared with you the Oolong sculpture, a figurine I added to my Dragon Ball collection.

Well, today I decided to start with a couple more figurines for this collection, a couple of very well known characters, Ten Shin Han and Chaozu. In this post I will show you Chaozu's sculpture.

Step by step
To start with this beautiful figurine, the first thing I did was the same thing I usually do with many of my sculptures, start with the feet.
The feet are the base so it is always good to start with this, as it gives you an idea of how to continue with the figurine.

Para comenzar con esta bonita figurita, lo primero que hice fue lo mismo que acostumbro a hacer con muchas de mis esculturas, empezar con los pies.
Los pies son la base así que siempre es bueno comenzar con esto, pues te permite tener una idea de cómo seguir con la figurita.
I covered these little feet with wire with yellow plasticine mixed with orange, this nice color is the one I used for the legs.
Then for the body, as you can see in the image below, I combined several colors and without finishing mixing it, I made a sort of rectangle where I placed the legs. This rectangle would serve as the base for Chaozu's tunic.
Estos piecitos con alambre los cubrí con plastilina de color amarilla mezclado con naranja, este lindo color es el que usé para las piernas.
Luego para el cuerpo, como pueden ver en la imagen de abajo, combiné varios colores y sin terminar de mezclarlo, hice una suerte de rectángulo en dónde coloqué las piernitas. Este rectángulo serviría como base para la túnica de Chaozu.
For the tunic I cut a flat piece of plasticine. I cut it in such a way that it covered the whole piece of plasticine. I cut it in such a way that it covered the whole piece of plasticine of various colors, up to a little above the legs.
Para la túnica corté un trozo de plastilina plano. Vamos, como si fuese un trozo de tela. Lo corté de tal manera que cubriese todo el trozo de plastilina de varios colores, hasta superar un poco las piernas.
On the sides I joined the pieces of plasticine, taking care not to wrinkle the plasticine, so that it would look as good as possible, with folds but without wrinkles or breaks.
En los laterales uní los trozos de plastilina cuidando que no se arrugara la plastilina y está quedase de la mejor manera posible, con pliegues pero sin arrugas ni roturas.
When the tunic is ready, it is time to make the red decorations on it.
It is simply a matter of making some long lines of red plasticine and placing it on the sides and bottom edges of the tunic. I also placed diagonally, near the neck, one more line with two small knots, as you can see in the image below:
Cuando está lista la túnica, es hora de hacerle los decorados rojos que está tiene.
Simplemente es cuestión de hacer unas líneas largas de plastilina roja y colocarla en los laterales y en los bordes inferiores de la túnica. De igual manera coloqué en diagonal, cerca del cuello, una línea más con dos nudos pequeños, tal cómo pueden ver en la imagen de abajo:

I made the arms in a similar way as the legs, in the same color but with prominent white sleeves. In the yellow part I made some folds typical of a fabric.
For the arms I used some wooden sticks to hold them to the body of the figure, so they would be fixed in place.
Los brazos los hice de manera similar que las piernitas, del mismo color pero con unas mangas prominentes de color blanco. En la parte amarilla hice algunos pliegues típicos de una tela.
Para los brazos usé algunos palillos de madera para que estos pudieran sostenerse del cuerpo de la figura, así quedarían fijados en su lugar.

Finally, as far as the body is concerned, I made some very small white hands, which I placed on the sleeves I had previously made. I did not use a toothpick to attach them, but glue to hold them securely in place.
Finalmente, en lo que respecta al cuerpo, le hice unas manos muy pequeñas de color blanco, las cuales coloqué en las mangas que había hecho anteriormente. No usé un palillo para fijarlas, sino pegamento para sujetarlas bien en su lugar.
The last thing I did was the character's head. As it is originally, I made it white, decorated with his typical little black hat and a red pompom. Ten Shin Han also wears this uniform, but I find it more iconic to do it with a different outfit; however Chaozu looks very cool with these clothes.
Below you can see two pictures of how I made the head and face, which I attached to the character's body with the help of a wooden stick and glue.
Ya lo último que hice fue la cabeza del personaje. Tal como es originalmente, lo hice de color blanco, decorado con su típico sombrerito negro y un pompón rojo. Ten Shin Han también usa este uniforme, pero me resulta más icónico hacerlo con otro atuendo diferente; sin embargo Chaozu se ve muy genial con estas prendas.
Abajo pueden ver dos fotografías de cómo hice la cabeza y el rostro, la cuál fijé en el cuerpo del personaje con ayuda de un palillo de madera y pegamento.
