Greetings friends. For a while now I have been making a series of first generation Pokémon figurines.

To continue with my collection I made another first evolution of three Pokémon, the little Poliwag.

Step by step
The materials I used for this little sculpture were plasticine, wire and glue.
I used a shade of blue similar to the one I used for Oddish, so these two Pokémon will have the same color.

Los materiales que usé para esta pequeña escultura fueron plastilina, alambre y pegamento.
Usé un tono de azul parecido al que usé para Oddish, así que estos dos Pokémon tendrán el mismo color.
I started by making a sphere, which I flattened a little to create the characteristic shape of this cute character.
At the top it is a little more flattened on the sides, while at the bottom it is wider.
Comencé haciendo una esfera, la cuál aplasté un poco para crear esa forma tan característica de este tierno personaje.
En la parte superior es un poco mas aplastado a los lados, mientras que en la parte inferior es más ancha.
For the front part I made a flattened white sphere, which would be the white part of the character.
Para la parte frontal hice una esfera blanca y aplastada, la cula sería la parte blanca del personaje.
In this white circle is where the black spiral that this Pokémon and its evolutions have goes.
For the spiral I took a long strip of black plasticine, which I rolled in a measured way in the center of the white circle, completing all the spiral of the front part.
On top of this spiral I placed the mouth, which is a small flattened sphere of pink plasticine, with a small opening in the center.
Sometimes people confuse the character's mouth with the big spiral on the front, which if you think about it is more like his stomach, his belly.
En este círculo blanco es donde va el espiral negro que tienen este Pokémon y sus evoluciones.
Para el espiral tomé una larga tira de plastilina negra, la cuál enrollé de manera medida en el centro del círculo blanco, completando todo el espiral de la parte frontal.
Encima de este espiral coloqué la boca, la cuál es una pequeña esfera aplastada de plastilina de color rosado, con una pequeña apertura en el centro.
A veces las personas confunden la boca del personaje con el gran espiral que tiene en la parte frontal, que sí lo piensan es más bien como su estómago, su panza.
The eyes are on the top of the head, above the mouth but not so high, just a little bit. Both eyes are also practically on each side of the mouth, so this was something I took into account to give them the right location.
To make them I molded two shapes similar to water drops but a little more rounded at the top. These white parts I placed there in the right place and then I made two flattened circles in the center of the white part.
Los ojos están en la parte superior de la cabeza, encima de la boca pero no tan arriba, solo un poco. Ambos ojos están practicamente también a cada lado de la boca, así que esto fue algo que tomé en cuenta para darle la ubicación adecuada.
Para hacerlos moldeé dos formas parecidas a gotas de agua pero un poco mas redondeadas en la parte superior. Estás partes blancas las coloqué allí en el lugar adecuado y luego hice dos círculos aplastados en el centro de la parte blanca.
Poliwag is a tadpole, so obviously he has a tail. To make it I used some wire that would serve as a base to hold the tail in place.
I placed the wire at the back along with two small pieces of play dough that would serve for the feet.
I covered the wire with blue plasticine, this way the feet and the tail would serve as a triple support for the figurine.
Poliwag es un renacuajo, así que obviamente tiene una cola. Para hacerla usé un poco de alambre que serviría como base para mantener la cola en su lugar.
Coloqué el alambre en la parte trasera junto a dos trocitos de plastilina que servirían para los pies.
El alambre lo cubrí con plastilina azul, de esta manera los pies y la cola servirían de soporte triple para la figurita.
This tail has a kind of fins, so to make it I used more white plasticine, which I flattened and gave it the shape of a big elongated water drop.
Esta cola tiene una suerte de aletas, así que para hacerla usé más plastilina blanca, la cuál aplasté y le di la forma de una gran gota de agua alargada.
I used glue to glue the blue tail fin, so when it dried, the figurine was completely finished.

Usé pegamento para pegar la aleta de la cola azul, de modo que cuando está secó, la figurita quedó completamente terminada.

Luce bastante bien con el diseño del personaje, como la cola es blanca, no la notaba sobre el fondo blanco.
Subí el contraste de mi monitor y pude notarla.
Está quedando muy bien su colección de Pokémon.
