unique art style, compelling storytelling, and deep character development.
It indeed has a unique art style. I even hesitated watching it, but yeah, I ended up finishing the whole anime ahahaha. I really like how Mob ends up improving the lives of every villain he encounters (especially Dimple! ).
He's indeed the best boy! Reading your review made me reminisce about those times I'm watching Mob Psycho 100...and with that, I'm tempted to rewatch it again! Thanks for sharing such a genuine review, @gibic!
Reading your post makes me want to rewatch this anime again.
I understand the Haikyuu feels from those Body Improvement club boys! They're just so passionate and so kind to Mob!
So coming-of-age anime actually, but it has dealt with some issues as you've mentioned.
Too bad I didn't know why I didn't finish watching this anime. Maybe there was a point when I felt it was drag, or idk.
But will definitely watch it again because of how passionate you are :D
I see. Hope you watch it again. Season 1 maybe has slow pacing, but start from episode 8, it's getting better. While season 2 is really whole another experience 🙂
Personally, I consider Mob Psycho 100 to be one of the best Shonen anime in history, since it not only presents us with a powerful protagonist, but it shows us a boy with problems, changes, development and very notable growth throughout the work. From the beginning they make it clear to us that what stands out the most in this anime is not only the spectacular animation it has, but also how power does not make you the "best boy in the world" and that arrogance, envy, greed, hatred, revenge and sadness can corrupt you and turn you into a monster.
On the other hand, the development of the other characters and their influence on Mob are also something to highlight. While on the one hand he faces powerful opponents, they present him with problems and ideas that leave him thinking. What I also love is that this anime does not need to rely on "fanservice" to achieve fame and obtain the success it has, The comedy that is handled is light, which means that everyone can see and enjoy it.
These are some of the things that I really like about this great anime, which can be talked about much more. Excellent review.
Superb!
Yeah, this anime was perfect shonen for me too. Nothing is too exaggerating. While the settings were involving supernatural world, it still feel relatable and grounded because the conflicts were rooted on genuine struggles of a young boy figuring out his identity, shaping his idealism and morality...

I love to hear it. Tbh I wrote this a long time after I watched the anime. And somehow I missed it so much. Ahahaha.

Fight on!
Are you already get to Season 2 ?
I actually forgot, maybe still in season 1
