On April 12, a new movie from the "Detective Conan" banner hit Japanese cinemas. Just as DB is inspired by martial arts, the manga by Gōshō Aoyama draws inspiration from Mikeneko Holmes and Sherlock Holmes. It also uses other sources on crime topics. From what I've read on the internet, mainly books, but I assume that series or movies with similar themes are not unfamiliar to it. The plot tells the story of Shinichi Kudou, an extremely talented high school student who is interested in criminology and helps the police solve difficult cases. During a failed operation, men from a mysterious criminal organization give him an experimental drug, leaving him for certain death. It turned out that Shinichi survived, but became a 7-year-old child. Fortunately, he only regressed physically, thus maintaining his former intelligence. His sense of mission has not changed either, so he continues to help the police, hoping that in the process he will find traces of the criminals who turned him into a child.
The plot of the film focuses on swords and touches on the subject of the Shinsengumi. Kaito Kid wants to snatch a sword that supposedly belonged to Toshizo Hijikata, the deputy commander of the Shinsengumi. As it turned out, Kid was not the only one who appeared in this place. Heiji Hattori and Conan arrived in Hakodate because of the Kendo tournament. At the same time, but a little further away, the body of a man was found, who bled to death just after getting off the train. He is connected to a mysterious treasure hidden somewhere in Hakodate. The keys to solving the mystery were hidden in swords. The 27th film also has a good pace. As with the previous one, we don't have too many long scenes and when we stay in one location for too long, the creators change it. I won't pretend, there were a few moments when I was bored and reached for my phone, but this is because I am not a fan of this universe. I like it, as well as the characters that appear in it, but I don't need to know all the details. Important and slightly less important dialogues or key scenes are enough for me. Just so you understand me correctly - I wasn't focused on its content for about 10 minutes in total.
As this is a film from the TMS studio (and 1st Studio), I have no reason to complain. The film looks nice, the animation is dynamic, fluid, there are no missing frames, etc. It is not the best production in terms of audio-visuals, but it meets all the points for me to consider it very good. If only because of the garden in the shape of a pentagram, which was recreated with extraordinary attention to detail. But that is standard for films in this series. If anything, at the end of each film you have photos from these places next to the end credits.
Is this film worth watching? I will say this, if you are not a fan of Detective Conan, it is not worth it. Not because the film is bad or anything. You simply will not get much out of it, apart from a pleasant time. The remake of the first episode will be much better in this respect. I only know the new films from this franchise, so I do not know if I can recommend the older productions. I do not recommend the new ones due to the accumulation of characters. Or to put it differently - I personally don't like watching movies when I don't know the characters. On the other hand, maybe it's my strange habit, after all, full-length productions are created with the intention that everyone will understand them. It doesn't matter if they are fans or people who are having their first contact with Conan.

Tak jak DB inspiruje się sztukami walki, tak manga autorstwa Gōshō Aoyama, czerpie inspirację z Mikeneko Holmes i Sherlocka Holmesa. Korzysta również z innych źródeł o tematyce kryminalnej. Z tego, co przeczytałem w internecie, głównie książek, ale zakładam że seriale lub filmy o zbliżonej tematyce nie są mu obce. Fabuła opowiada o Shinichi Kudou, niezwykle utalentowanemu uczniu liceum, który interesuje się kryminologią i pomaga policji w rozwiązaniu trudnych spraw. W czasie nieudanej akcji, mężczyźni z tajemniczej organizacji przestępczej, dają mu eksperymentalny lek, pozostawiając go na pewną śmierć. Okazało się Shinichi przeżył, ale stał się 7-letnim dzieckiem. Na szczęście cofnął się w rozwoju jedynie fizycznie, zachowując tym samym dawną inteligencję. Jego poczucie misji również nie uległo zmianie, więc dalej pomaga policji, licząc że przy okazji natrafi na ślady przestępców, którzy zmienili go w dziecko.
Fabuła filmu skupia się na mieczach oraz dotyka tematu Shinsengumi. Kaito Kid chce porwać miecz, który rzekomo należał do Toshizo Hijikata, zastępcy dowódcy Shinsengumi. Jak się okazało, nie tylko Kid pojawił się w tym miejscu. Heiji Hattori i Conan przybyli do Hakodate z uwagi na turniej Kendo. W tym samym czasie, ale nieco dalej, znaleziono ciało mężczyzny, który wykrwawił się tuż po wyjściu z pociągu. Jest on związany z tajemniczym skarbem ukrytym gdzieś na Hakodate. Klucze do rozwiązania zagadki, zostały ukryte w mieczach. 27 film ma również dobre tempo. Podobnie jak w przypadku poprzedniego, nie mamy zbyt wiele dłużyzn i jak siedzimy zbyt długo w jednej lokacji, twórcy zmieniają ją. Nie będę udawał, było kilka momentów, gdy się nudziłem i sięgałem po telefon, ale wynika to z tego, że nie jestem miłośnikiem tego uniwersum. Lubię je, tak jak postacie które w nim występują, ale nie muszę znać wszystkich detali. Wystarczą mi ważne i nieco mniej ważne dialogi, czy kluczowe sceny. Żebyście mnie dobrze zrozumieli - nie byłem skupiony na jego treści łącznie około 10 minut.
Jako że jest to film od studia TMS (oraz 1st Studio), to nie mam żadnego powodu do narzekań. Film wygląda ładnie, animacja jest dynamiczna, płynna, nie brakuje żadnych klatek etc. Nie jest to najlepsza produkcja w kwestiach audio-wizualnych, ale spełnia wszystkie punkty, bym uznał ją za bardzo dobrą. Choćby z uwagi na ogród w kształcie pentagramu, który został odwzorowany z niezwykłą dbałością o detale. No ale to standard dla filmów z tej serii. Jakby co, na końcu każdego filmu macie zdjęcia z tych miejsc obok napisów końcowych.
Czy warto obejrzeć ten film? Powiem tak, jeśli nie jesteście fanami Detektywa Conana, to nie warto. Nie dlatego, że film jest słaby czy coś. Po prostu nie wyciągniecie z niego zbyt wiele poza miło spędzonym czasem. Dużo lepiej w tej kwestii sprawdzi się remake pierwszego odcinka. Znam tylko nowe filmy z tej franczyzy, więc nie wiem, czy mogę polecić starsze produkcje. Nowych nie polecam z uwagi na nagromadzenie postaci. Albo inaczej - osobiście nie lubię oglądać filmów, gdy nie znam bohaterów. Z drugiej strony, może to moje dziwne przyzwyczajenie, wszakże pełnometrażowe produkcje są tworzone z takim zamysłem, by zrozumieli je wszyscy. Nie ważne, czy fani, czy ludzie którzy mają pierwszą styczność z Conanem.
