Seriously, even though I love the Gundam vigilante, I agree with you. We see it too often in the same or almost the same form. Due to this, among others I had a hard time watching Gundam Unicron. And by the way, even in the latest Code Geass there is a character that looks like Char... I must admit, I was pissed :<!

we do have a girl version, in gundam witch from mercury, girl protagonist too I also hope it adds more, like a blonde girl the next hahaha
and yes! in roze the father of lelouch the vessel totally look like char after taking off that mask hahahaa we can never get pass a char character in mecha, always a signature hahaha

Yes, it seems that the Japanese like this element too much in mysterious characters. It doesn't bother me, I like watching them myself :).
